Green.  A color/ur of many ranges. I like green, mostly. My bedroom is seafoam.
I will paint my room when I move the same colour. It's relaxing.

There's the designated Emerald green for the year of 2013. It's a dramatic color__a jewel-tone. Beautiful in the right kind of fabric.

And, of course the jewel itself__
There are pale greens and vibrant greens and poisonous greens__
There's pea soup, which I like to eat but as a colour on the wall, not so much. There's lime green, which is brilliant but a little over whelming and green nail polish, which truth to tell I'm not sure about__

And there's hospital green, which I have decided to call bile, and I think it was designed to drive you out the door sooner than later. An awful color.

There's chartreuse, which is also a liqueur...

And sage

And ivy
So many different greens. The abundance is remarkable. But not all are pleasing, at least not to my eye.. And some I cannot wear, although I'd like to.

  1. Green is my favourite colour. I love jewel tones... love them. I love colours that are deep or intense.

I can't wait to see green again. Spring can't come fast enough for me. It was warming up (-25C or so in the mornings and -7 or so in the afternoons), but the last week we're back to -30s and having to plug in our vehicles.

    Spring! I'm ready!

  2. Me, too! The snow melted over the last couple of days and the grass is trying to green. The lily tops are coming up so it's not far off. They're calling for more snow again but it's getting closer__Spring, I mean. I want to grow a garden. This year I'm doing some containers and using gravel on top of the soil to keep the squirrels from digging in the pots.

  3. I think sea foam green is my favorite color. I love it in furniture and it compliments nicely with blond wood, metal, glass and white.

  5. Green is a nice, cool, relaxing tone. All this talk of sage and ivy makes me want to sip lemonade under the wisteria. Unfortunately, the wisteria hasn't bloomed yet, although it's preparing to do so.

    2. I do, too, although its bloom time is so short! My plant isn't doing very well, though. My dad says it's because I don't water it enough (that's his answer to all my garden woes), but I think I'm pruning it incorrectly.

  6. *nods* Green is good. My grass has just the first few tints of green in it.

    1. :) I went looking to see if there were any snowdrops around but didn't find any. The grass is looking determined, tho.

  7. The colour you have chosen is a lovely colour for a bedroom. Of course that emerald ring is something I have always wanted. LOL
