They [GM] have come out with a new Corvette.

Some think it lacks...Corvetteness. There is some talk that it has a Camaro rear end. Others think it is high style.


 Personally, I think it looks a lot like the old Datsun 280 ZX.
Matt thinks it looks like the Dodge Viper

I don't think it looks like a Corvette. But what do I know?

      It's not a plugger. They figure they can squeeze [maybe] 26 mpg out of it. Maybe more if they fiddle w/it some more.

    There we were, on the interstate driving through Louisville, KY at 1 a.m. The Datsun Roadster was running smoothly in 5th gear with empty lanes left right and front. A Corvette pulled up on the right side, and the driver signaled to roll down the window. The Datsun downshifted to 4th, letting the engine slow the car to conversational speed. "Hey," the Vetster yelled, "that little thing's going 100 mph." "What's your point?" smiled the girl riding shotgun, and the Roadster accelerated back to triple digits. The Vette kept pace . . . . until the Roadster shifted back into 5th and moved briskly ahead into the early morning darkness. A few days farther on, in Tijuana, we got a speeding ticket while driving less than 15 mph.

    It does look more like a Camaro than a Corvette. At least in how I imagine each to look.
